Loop Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Loop, operated by Fusion Lab LLC (“Loop,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, processes, stores, and discloses information when a Shopify merchant installs or uses the Loop application and related services.
Information we collect
When a merchant installs Loop, we may access information made available through Shopify that is necessary to provide Loop's functionality. Depending on the features used and permissions granted, this may include store information, products, inventory, customers, orders, fulfillments, discounts, marketing information, and related commerce data.
Some Shopify resources, including customer, order, fulfillment, and checkout-related information, can contain personal information. Where Loop processes such information, we process only the information reasonably necessary to provide the applicable functionality.
We may also collect information provided directly by merchants when they configure or use Loop, including account and store settings, email campaign content, automation configurations, templates, sending information, support communications, and other information submitted through the app.
Loop may process information relating to a merchant's customers when necessary to provide merchant-requested functionality, such as email campaigns, marketing automations, customer segmentation, analytics, upsells, and identifying actionable opportunities from store activity. This information may include customer contact information, order and purchase information, and interactions relevant to the features the merchant chooses to use.
We may also automatically collect limited technical information necessary to operate, secure, diagnose, and improve the service, such as application events, error information, request information, and usage logs.
How we use information
We use information to provide and operate Loop; authenticate and connect Shopify stores; analyze store activity and surface opportunities to merchants; create and manage campaigns, automations, and upsells; send merchant-authorized communications; provide analytics and reporting; maintain security and prevent abuse; troubleshoot and improve the service; provide customer support; comply with applicable legal obligations; and enforce our agreements.
Loop processes merchant and customer information only for legitimate purposes associated with providing and operating the service, complying with applicable law, or as otherwise disclosed to the merchant.
Email and marketing communications
Loop provides tools that allow merchants to send and automate email communications. Merchants are responsible for ensuring that their communications comply with applicable marketing, privacy, consent, and anti-spam laws. Where applicable, Loop respects consent and unsubscribe information used by the service and provides functionality intended to support merchant management of these preferences.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information to service providers that process information on our behalf when reasonably necessary to operate Loop, such as hosting, database, infrastructure, email-delivery, monitoring, security, and other technology providers. These providers receive information only as necessary to perform services for us and are expected to handle it appropriately.
We may also disclose information when required by law, legal process, or governmental request; to protect the rights, security, or integrity of Loop, merchants, customers, or others; to investigate fraud or abuse; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to applicable law.
Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Loop's services, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and enforce our agreements. Information that is no longer required will be deleted, anonymized, or otherwise handled in accordance with our applicable retention practices and legal obligations.
Uninstalling Loop and Shopify privacy requests
When a merchant uninstalls Loop, our access to that merchant's Shopify store through the app is revoked. We process applicable Shopify privacy and data-deletion requests in accordance with Shopify's requirements and applicable law. Certain information may be retained where legally required or otherwise permitted, including information necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.
Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information processed by Loop. Information transmitted between supported systems is protected using secure encrypted connections where applicable, and access to stored information is restricted according to operational requirements.
No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and therefore we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International processing
Loop and the service providers used to operate the service may process information in countries other than the country where a merchant or customer is located. Where required, we take appropriate measures regarding the transfer and processing of personal information in accordance with applicable law.
Privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, individuals may have rights concerning their personal information, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to certain processing. Because Loop primarily processes customer information on behalf of Shopify merchants, customers should generally direct requests concerning their store relationship to the applicable merchant. We will assist merchants and respond to applicable privacy requests as required by law and Shopify's requirements.
Cookies and similar technologies
Loop may use cookies or similar technologies where necessary for authentication, security, functionality, preferences, or operation of the service. Where applicable, such technologies will be used subject to relevant consent and privacy requirements.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Loop, our data practices, legal requirements, or other operational needs. The “Last updated” date above indicates when this Privacy Policy was most recently revised.
